Physical Therapy

Physical therapy services will include a review of your child's medical and social histories, physical observation and assessment of your child, creation of a plan of care, and an initial home exercise program. Items that may be reviewed: diet, mobility, strength, posture, abdominal presentation, toileting habits and mechanics, breath control, sensation and pelvic floor assessment.

Therapy will include: assistance in toileting (use of appropriate mechanics, breath work, relaxation techniques, and education regarding toileting), as well as typical physical therapy assessment and treatment addressing strength, range of motion, and body awareness, all of which can impact bowel and bladder health. Initial therapy evaluation must be in person, however follow up therapy sessions can be completed virtually based on preference and level of appropriateness for the child. Register here to set up an account and self–schedule.

Therapy location: 24530 Kingsland Blvd, Suite B Katy, TX 77494

  • Initial evaluation: $595/2 hours
  • Follow-up therapy: $205/50 minutes

If you are going to pursue therapy services:

  1. Get a provider referral form signed. Texas is a direct access state with limitations. This means Unconstipated Kids can independently complete an evaluation and treat for the 10 business days following that eval. After those 10 days are up, we will need a signed order from a physician or prescribing provider to continue therapy care. A prescribing provider (Nurse practitioner, chiropractor, Medical Doctor, etc) will need to sign it.
  2. Call your insurance company and ask what your reimbursement rate is for an 'out of network provider.' This depends on your current out-of-pocket for the year, as well as your deductible. After therapy appointments, you will receive 'superbills,' with details of what PT services were provided. You can then submit this to your insurance company for reimbursemen right nowt. Other than providing the superbill, Unconstipated Kids doesn't support this reimbursement process.
  3. Unconstipated Kids utilizes a third party (HIPAA compliant) vendor as a client portal. We highly recommend getting the PtEverywhere application (free for both Apple and Android). Without the app, you won't be notified when we message you or upload something to your account; you'll also get appointment notifications.
